Semi Sheer Cotton Tee (I cut off the sleeves) – Forever 21
White Straight Leg Jeans – Target
Camo Calf Hair Belt – Gap
Tabacco T Strap Sandal – Michael Kors
(Red onion confit, gruyère, sunny egg, watercress, Béarnaise, house brioche, potato chips)
Yummy, but pricey. This half-bunned goodness can be found at Ray’s & Stark Bar. Since it’s semi-fancy (smancy), there are less carbs, enjoy half the bun guilt-free. Eat. The great atmosphere is free. Savor your meal outside and take in the beauty that sounds you.

Europe here we come! This summer me, my sister and cousin will travel through Europe visiting Germany, Netherlands, France and Italy. (insert happiest emoji)
Below are maps with circles highlighting places we will visit within each country. Flights are booked, passports are ready, but there is so much more to be done. My biggest challenge will definitely be packing. One suitcase for three weeks … how will I survive? I have already dreamt about packing, forgetting everything and almost missing the flight trying to pack last minute. The trip is in July, but I should start practice packing tomorrow.
List five places that are date appropriate, girls night fitting, kid approved, fido friendly, foodie pleasing and entertaining all-in-one. Oh! And cost 10 bucks to enter. Don’t worry, I’ll wait.
Are you still thinking? I have one for you, Street Food Cinema (SFC)!

The Street Food Cinema experience travels throughout Los Angeles this summer from May 25-August 31 providing an awesome summer fun destination that includes movies, live music and food trucks.
Before the movie, guests rocked to Elle Rae while mingling and standing in vendor and food truck lines. I grabbed mini donuts from The Fry Girl truck, then firecracker wings and bomb dust fries from the Belly BombZ truck.
The mini donuts and bomb dust fries were tasty, but the firecracker wings did not evoke sparks. I waited about an hour in the Belly BombZ line, the wings were not worth it and prices were deceptively raised.
Enough about that, guests competed in a Mean Girls Look Alike/Sound Alike contest to win a 76 gas card and a gift bag of goodies, it was pretty entertaining. Two thumbs up for the Street Food Cinema experience.
Next time, I plan to take advantage of outside food and beverages being permitted. A nice glass of wine with a movie? Why not!

HOME (Los Feliz location) is where you wet your whistle and chat, on a warm Los Angeles summer night.
While HOME is a restaurant, I am more likely to return for the ambiance and cocktails, instead of eats.
Attempting to make up for the poor food choice I made earlier in the day, I ordered the Warm Spinach Salad. If HOME’s goal is to serve a dish as the average person would at home for a chill night out by the pool, then call it a success. The presentation is subpar and the salad fell short at titillating my taste buds.
On the other hand, the atmosphere and service are terrific. Did I mention that Happy Hour drinks are five bucks and are not watered down? Worth it!
As for the Chicken Pomodoro Sandwich and soup, my friend date says, “The sandwich was quite savory, the cheese added a great kick to it. Soup was bland, but ok. I’ve had better. Oh! The fried pickles were my fav!”
Check out the pictures below. Feel free to ask questions. xoxo
Master of surprise, prankster, ballsy and jokester are all terms used to describe me. After Christmas and my birthday, April Fools’ is my next favorite holiday. If scaring others was an Olympic sport, I would for sure own a gold medal.
With revenge always lurking around the corner, I stay on guard and uneasy to scare or surprise. It is pretty safe to say that I am not a scaredy cat, but I pulled both hands really close to my face for a few seconds while watching The Conjuring.
Either I am getting a little soft or the movie fulfilled its purpose, you be the judge. It will be in theaters on July 19. If you are on a mission to scare the unafraid, then take them to see The Conjuring and let me know what happens.
The film is pretty solid, but there were a couple scenes that caused the entire audience to snicker. Those were “Really! Are you serious?” moments.
Watch the trailer below.
Music playing, curls blowing, I commute through the canyons from the city to the valley. Gorgeous views line my path, it’s easy to forget that I am where I am.
The other day, I found myself driving like a go-cart hugging the curves of the road trying to catch the car in front of me. On occasion, I sail like a cruise ship inhaling the scenery and living in the moment, but I speed up when the car behind me is in a hurry.
As I trailed behind the car ahead, a light blub came on. I remembered that when driving and in life, we have to go at our own pace and stay in our lane. I said to myself, “Self.” Myself said, “Huh?” I said “Do you! Stop worrying about everything else.”
If I rush my journey to reach those in front or please those behind, I could fall off and they would still be on the road. We have to do what is best for us… there will always be someone ahead and someone behind trying to rush us.
*Please do not use the above as an excuse to slack or be content with mediocrity. I have witnessed “When one door closes, another opens” being used after and individual woke up behind schedule for a interview, then cooked a full-out breakfast instead of making it to the interview. We have to do better.
Growing up, my definition of beauty was heavily influenced by media standards. I failed to embrace the differences that make us unique. My ignorance helped to create a perception that dictated my behavior and interactions.
Today, I am proud to celebrate images and attributes that I found embarrassing and/or bashed. Embracing my own natural beauty has changed my perspective and is one of the best choices I have ever made.
Honored to be part of this amazing movement, I love opportunities to connect with other amazing women redefining beauty.
On Thursday night, natural hair and beauty bloggers/editors gathered at the upscale Sofitel Los Angeles for a beauty chat hosted by MegaGrowth and Ebony.com. I had a blast chatting about hair care, makeup, fitness and philanthropy with those in attendance.
Guests enjoyed delicious gourmet hors d’ oeuvres, complimentary drinks and received MegaGrowth swags bags. The summer inspired beach totes included three full-sized products that smell yummy. Look out for a review.

Most people have always assumed that i’m in good shape because of my petite frame. Truth is, I have a great metabolism that allowed me to fool people. A year and a half ago you couldn’t get me to run a mile, i’d be out of breath by the end of the second block. Over the past few years, i’ve realized that hot bodies are healthy bodies.
Exercising and eating right go hand in hand. When I eat healthy and exercise I notice that I have more energy, focus and I feel better. Last September, I ran and finished my first official run (10K/6.2 miles) in 1:14. I was able to do that because I decided to make better health and fitness choices. Don’t just take my word. Let’s see what someone else has to say about it.
Below are pictures of Ozzie, a health coach, who I’ve watched make a transformation from the picture on the left to the picture on the right. Check out the Q & A session to find out what he thinks about health and fitness.
Q & A with Ozzie
Describe yourself in one sentence.
Ozzie: I am a thankful individual that runs on the never ending fuel of life’s positivity and beautiful moments.
How often do you exercise?
Ozzie: I workout between 3 to 5 times a week.
What do you wish you knew 5 years ago that you know now?
Ozzie: I wish I knew that eating the right foods and focusing on proper nutrition would get me way better health results than working out 5 to 6 times a week for hours at a time in the gym.
Some people think that health and fitness aren’t really important. What would you say to them?
Ozzie: You only have one body. If you don’t take care of it now, it’ll take care of you later. Make the right investment for the long term, you won’t regret it.
Is there anything else you want to share about yourself, health or fitness?
Ozzie: Being healthy and fit isn’t always about how you look. It’s also about how you feel on the inside. I do a lot of reading and personal development, and because of how much it’s helped me to grow mentally, I don’t feel there is anything I can’t do or achieve once I put my mind to it.
